What we look after
Microsoft 365 administration
The day-to-day of running a tenant: new starters and leavers, shared mailboxes and distribution groups, permissions, mail flow rules, and the settings that quietly accumulate until nobody is sure why they are there.
Licensing
Matching licences to what people actually use. Over-licensing is common and quietly expensive — licences assigned to staff who left, or premium tiers bought for features nobody switched on. Under-licensing shows up as things mysteriously not working.
Security baseline
Multi-factor authentication, conditional access and sensible defaults, kept current rather than configured once and forgotten. The aim is security that people can actually work with, because a baseline everyone works around is not protecting anything.
Cloud environments
Where you run workloads in Azure, AWS or a hybrid setup, keeping them sized to what they actually do and the bill explainable — sizing, schedules, budgets and alerts reviewed against real usage rather than the estimate from the original build.
Being the person who knows your setup
When something behaves oddly, you speak to whoever configured it. No re-explaining your environment to someone new, and no discovering that the person who set it up has moved on.
Who this suits — and who it doesn't
This is management of the systems your business runs on: your Microsoft 365 tenant, your cloud environment, your identity and your data. It suits a business that has moved to the cloud and wants someone across that environment properly, without hiring internally for it.
It is not a break-fix helpdesk for every device in the office. If what you need is someone patching laptops, managing printers and fielding desktop tickets, a traditional managed service provider is a better fit — and we will tell you that rather than take the work and do it half well.
Plenty of businesses run both: an MSP or internal person for the desktop side, and us for the cloud and Microsoft 365 layer. That split works well, because the two need genuinely different expertise.
How it usually starts
- A reviewWhat you are running, how it is configured, what it costs, and what has drifted. Whether we built the environment or inherited it, this is where we find out what we are actually looking after.
- Fix what needs fixingUsually a short piece of work: licences reclaimed, a security baseline brought up to date, permissions tidied, something half-finished completed properly.
- Agree what ongoing looks likeScoped around how much genuinely needs managing. Some businesses want a regular arrangement; others prefer to call when something comes up. Either is fine.
- Keep it currentChanges handled as they arise, licensing reviewed rather than left to renew on autopilot, and someone who already knows the environment when a question comes up.
Common questions
Is this a full IT helpdesk for our staff and their computers?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. This is management of your Microsoft 365 tenant and cloud environment — the systems your business runs on — rather than a break-fix desk for individual laptops, printers and desktop patching. If what you need is someone to manage every endpoint in the office, a traditional managed service provider is a better fit and we will say so.
Do we have to have migrated with you to get ongoing support?
No. Most ongoing work does follow a migration, simply because we already know how the environment is put together. But we also take on environments somebody else built. In that case the first step is a review, so we understand what we are inheriting before agreeing to look after it.
Is it a fixed monthly contract?
It does not have to be. Some businesses want a regular arrangement so there is always someone across their environment; others prefer to call when something needs doing and keep it project by project. We scope it around how much actually needs managing rather than selling a tier you do not need.
What happens when something breaks?
You contact the person who knows your setup, not a queue where the context has to be explained from scratch each time. That is the practical difference — nobody has to work out how your tenant is configured before they can start helping.
Can you help us tidy up an environment that has grown messy?
Yes, and it is a common starting point. Years of accumulated permissions, licences assigned to people who left, mail rules nobody remembers creating, and sharing links that were only ever meant to be temporary. A review and clean-up is usually worth doing before committing to anything ongoing.
Want someone across your environment?
Tell us what you're running and what's been left unattended. We'll review it, tell you what's worth fixing, and scope ongoing support around what actually needs managing.
